I totally spaced and so missed out on a beachfront site....but I did get us in site #29! We'll be arriving Friday, 11/7 and leaving Monday, 11/10.  There are still sites available, although not beachfront.

Dee is in Washington visiting her grandson, and she may not have been able to access a computer, so I think you did well getting a site for yourself.

Dry Camping is not that bad Laura.  You just watch your water use, turn lights off when not in use, wake up in the morning, walk over to the button that starts the generator and turn on the coffee maker.

Brian, I had 2 Group 27 batteries installed, so I should be fine power-wise.  Those, plus my generator will give me more than enough power.  But you're right with the water -- might just have to break down & use the CG showers.

Our Father's Day trip to the beach will be my first "test" with the extra battery power.  I've got high hopes that they will be really, really helpful.

We're down to 28 days of school left ... can't wait!

SOOO...in other words camp next to you, plug in extension cord in outside outlet, when you hear the gennie in the AM start turn on your coffee maker and microwave and you still might get alittle battery charge at the same time :W

Oen is so funny and what a climber and is he FAST!!! smart too.. can't believe in 2 weeks he will be 2!!!

btw: you may want to double check your schedule Vet's day this year isn't a 3 day weekend. it falls on Tues and I was under the impression it has to be observerved ON the day it falls like 4th of July....that's one of the reasons I didn't do Campland. the other was Kevin & Band and no he's not joining band

We're not doing Doheny....but I think we have a 4-day weekend for Veteran's Day.  But, if we are in town, we may pop on down and say "hi" to ya'all.
