While in Costco a couple of weeks ago they were doing a demo of an Organic pancake mix in a whip cream type can (Batter Blaster)....Boy is this stuff awesome!! so easy, no mess.  just squirt, heat , flip and done!! No messy mixing. The kids love chocolate chips in theirs and then they don't use syrup. I haven't tried it yet , but I bet you can add blueberries, chopped apple, starwberries or bananas.

The best deal is the 3 can pack at Costco.

here is their website:

Ok, if they are as good as they look I will have to find them locally. The "Under 5 Club" in my house can't survive without their pancakes on the weekends (with peanut butter!)

Forget it ,Lori, their website says we poor southernors wont get the product 'till
July. Didn't say WHICH July!  :D
How's the restoration coming??

JULY??? Oh geeze, I missed that. I was thinking how much faster Sunday morning breakfast was gonna be and got all excited. That looks like something I could do in my sleep. Or better yet, DH could do that!  :p Guess I'll just have to keep making it from scratch.

Restoration is on hold due to rain. For the last 5 days every time I take the tarps off to work, 10 minutes later I'm putting them back on because it starts sprinkling. So I've spent the past week cleaning the garage so I can haul it in there and work on it. Tomorrow DH is going to help me put the roof in there so I can get back to work and I won't be limited to "daylight" hours. Which means...I'll be working day and night on it. My deadline is quickly approaching and my patience is running thin.

Dee the things are great.  And great for camping.  Easy to use and not bad.  The pancakes are a little touchy when flipping, and sometimes have a little batter y taste, but for ease of use its pretty cool!  Very easy to make shapes too!

BUT it must be refrigerated. Why not get the Bisquick mix in the yellow pitcher, add water, shake and pour? No muss, no fuss, and no special care needed. It's shelf stable.
The BB is a cute idea for kids at home but hardly camping friendly.

Anything in a pressurized can can't be bad!;)

They have a funny motto.... "Just shake, point, blast and cook"!    It reminds me of starting a BBQ with charcoal lighter fluid.:D

What will they think of next?  .........Cheese in a can?

YA, Dee, I saw it demoed on Good Day Sacramento about 1-2 months ago and thought it was great.  I spotted it in some of our local stores but thought it was a bit pricey then, like you, I saw it a Costco and purchased some.  I put 1 can in the house fridge for Sal to try, which he hasn't done yet, and saved the other 2 in the garage refrig for camping.  I can't wait to try it next time we camp.

Our trailer is back in the shop again because of the broken front stabelizer jack that was just fixed.  It has been a week and I havent heard back from Village RV.  They had to call the after market insurance that paid for it the first time to see if they will cover it again.   They guys kind of copped an attitude with me when I took it in because the inside bar that extends down was missing. They said we should have see it or had parts laying around.  I told them that since we picked it up from them and directly took it over to American RV to fix the fiberglass spot that they missed before, that the part from the new jack must have fallen out while on the freeway because we didn't see any "parts" laying around anywhere.  This would have made the new jack faulty.   I'll have to call them to see what is going on.  GEEZZZ, it never ends!!! :banghead:   At this rate we will never get to go camping.

This is true, But I always end up throwing most of that out. and I'm picky I would have to use bottle water and if you add too much then its too thin.
my question is:
how long can you store the batter once it's mixed??? and to store it, doesn't  it have to be refrigerated?

Call me old fashion, but one of the reasons we camp is to slow down and get away from instant this and instant that. For us, cooking a good homecooked breakfast outdoors over an open flame is a real treat for us. You can't tell me that pancakes in a spray can even comes close to freshly prepared pancake batter. No thanks this product looks more like a prank than anything else to me.

If your kids like 'shapes' try using a turkey baster to suck up  regular pancake batter and put it onto the griddle - you can draw letters, make shapes -etc. My son still loves to write out his name - and he's 17! LOL!

I get it..I use to be that way..but with our group we always have so much planned for the kids..it's breakfast on on to the first activity...That & I HATE doing dishes.

I just think the stuff is great and my kids like the way they taste. It's a fairly new product here so I thought I'd share....for those who are not morning people like myself, they may find it real handy. the kids actually get to eat something else besides poptarts  :p

You must not be old enough to remember C-Rats, or "C" Rations. They had some of the foulest canned cheese I ever tasted.... :D
