Quote from: Dee4jThis is true, But I always end up throwing most of that out. and I'm picky I would have to use bottle water and if you add too much then its too thin.
my question is:
how long can you store the batter once it's mixed??? and to store it, doesn't  it have to be refrigerated?
My wife mixes it with drinking water, too. I'm talking about the smaller ones that make six pancakes. Leftovers? What's that? :D

Quote from: ScouterMomIf your kids like 'shapes' try using a turkey baster to suck up  regular pancake batter and put it onto the griddle - you can draw letters, make shapes -etc. My son still loves to write out his name - and he's 17! LOL!

That is a great idea, I wish I had known that when my kids were little, they would have gotten a kick out of that.

Quote from: Dee4jI get it..I use to be that way..but with our group we always have so much planned for the kids..it's breakfast on on to the first activity...That & I HATE doing dishes.

I just think the stuff is great and my kids like the way they taste. It's a fairly new product here so I thought I'd share....for those who are not morning people like myself, they may find it real handy. the kids actually get to eat something else besides poptarts  :p

Dee4j:

I am an early riser usually just before sun up. Everyone else sleeps in while I brew the first pot of coffee and start prepping breakfast. Camping trips are usually the only time we eat a big breakfast. I enjoy cooking while camping, maybe it's because I'm from south Louisiana where all men cook and cook big.

This must explain why my dad bbq'd 2 chickens, 10 burgers, 8 hot dogs, pork chops and steaks every Sunday, if after it was only the 2 of us.

Dee--I looked for the Batter Blaster at our Costco right after the Easter Rally...and couldn't find it.  I was so sad!  Then a couple of weeks ago, we went to another Costco, nearby, but not our regular one...and found it!! The girls loved it!  Brandon was able to make them pancakes before school each day, very easily!  And, I thought they were yummy!  We will be getting Batter Blaster for our next camping trips....

It looks really fun, but I just can't get behind that kind of packaging. I'd feel selfish using a product like that. Such a waste of resources to make all this "convenience" stuff. That said, if somebody I know has purchased it, I'll be the one crowding everybody out of the way to watch it work.

Excuse me, do I know you?

You know, our Sccampers group used to have a guy named Viking....but he decided he liked rolling around in the hot dirt more, and dumped our group.
Any relation?
