We just purchased our first rv, a new 07 Fleetwood Westlake with a Coleman A/C.  Is there any way to attach a hose to the A/C drainage so it doesn't run down the side or back of the popup?  I don't want stains down my popup and don't want the canvas getting wet over the bed.

McCampers

We have never experienced any problems from the AC drainage.  The bunkends are made to handle the runoff from the roof system.  I've never experienced any kind of staining or water penetration inside.  I would be careful with any kind of guttering system.  The Sunbrella is very tough, but can tear when it comes into repetitive motion against hard plastic and or metal.  Especially at a pinch point like where the roof meets the canvas.  The PUP is engineered to handle the water like it is.  I wouldn't worry about it.

Unlike motohomes and TTs with rubber roofs, your PopUp has a nice aluminum or filon roof.  It's the black oxidized rubber that causes black streaks on rubber roof RVs.  Just keep your roof clean, (rinse it off daily if you are camped under a tree that drops pollen or sap), and you shouldn't have too much of an issue.

No, there is not a commercially available drain hose to connect to your Coleman Mach A/C unit.  However, you could always fabricate one!  If it's good you can sell it and make millions!!;)

Most people these days concerned with condensation runoff choose the Carrier AirV A/C unit with it's slinger wheel design.  But if you still are concerned there are various things you can do:

1. Run a cotton string wick across your roof and down the low side of your PopUp to direct the runoff.
2. Setup your popup slightly tilted towards the corner you want the runoff to go, and use a plastic sheet to protect that section of tenting.
3. Install gutters.  If you do a search you will find many creative homemade PVC gutter solutions created by owners.
4. Install some PopUp Gizmos to help your A/C performance, and you don't need to worry about getting your tent dirty from dirty runoff.

And there are many more!

Thanks for the replies. I myself am not so worried about staining my canvas as I am about the puddle that has developed is less than desirable spots next to the RV. I had forgotten all about the string idea. Thanks again!

We had the same problem and my DH made a gutter by cutting a piece of pvc pipe in half and hanging it between the roof and the tent. It worked great and have not had any problems since.
