Another great place. We have been tent camping here for the last 4 years very nice scenery as the beach is basically pristine and left as the tide makes it... trees laid down on the beach from erosion ( they do refurbish the sand a bit but the trees are left in place) Nice lighthouse with some history behind it. Breezy and pleasant at night even in the hottest Carolina summers. This will be our first PU event so we are stoked !!

We went here last year. It was nice, but the bath houses were not clean or nice. They basically stank. You could smell them as you walked by them on the road at times. They bleached them , but I would like to see them upgrade this part of the campground.

We'll be making our first trip there in early June.

We were there three years ago. The thing I remember the most is the voracious mosquitoes. While you're out on the beach they won't bother you there. But as soon as you go back into the wooded area they'll be waiting for you! I remember having my hands very full carrying lawn chairs and all the "stuff" you need for a day on the beach. That left no hands free for swatting, and the skeeters took full advantage!

I also do remember the stinky restrooms. Yuck! It seemed to me that the management was not to blame. They cleaned them well each day, but for some reason the campers stunk it up really badly every day. What's up with that? Unsupervised kids? Beats me, but it seems odd.
