Is there a white plastic connector on the tongue of the trailer?  Coleman/Fleetwood have used a standard battery wiring system for many years.  If the white connector is on the tongue all you need to do is get a Fleetwood battery wire harness.  One back wire and one white wire that are connected to a white plastic connector.  It connects to the plastic connector on the tongue of the trailer.  The positive side of the wiring has a self resetting circuit breaker.  Connect the other ends of the wires to the battery (put the battery in a box and use the battery box strap to hold the battery to the frame) and then plug them into the plastic connector on the tongue.:)

Our local RV repair shop said the same thing. I haven't yet looked to see if there was one there, I will tonight, thanks!

Now the business of charging it with the TV. The manual shows a flat 4 pin plug as stock but the trailer has been rewired with a 7 spade to match the previous owners TV. My friend's TV has both a round 4 pin and the flat 4 pin. Assuming correctly that the 4 pin is only for the trailer lights we'd need to wire a different plug to keep the battery charged correct? A 6 pin perhaps? I haven't searched yet but if anyone knows a link to explain the wiring of this I would really appreciate it

Thanks again!!

Rick.

If the trailer has a 7-pin connector on it already, it may be best to just go to a 7-pin on the TV. Just be sure that the current plug is wired correctly.

That trailer should have a battery anyway. The breakaway trailer brakes require a battery to work in the event that the trailer gets away from the TV.

Thanks for the links guys. Wavery, I was thinking the same thing, just wire the truck for the 7 spade. However this Pup does not have trailer brakes, it only weighs 995# and you can only load about 600# of gear in it. If it DOES have trailer brakes they
