Lots of teachers here!!! Current and former...

I am the lead accountant for a family owned direct mail/call center/fulfillment center company. We recently took on a LARGE internet/phone/catalog fulfillment client (let's just say when you think of gun owner rights, you probably think of this association) that I handle exclusively (on the financial side, that is). DH also works there and is the Inventory Specialist, dealing exclusively with same said client now. I have been there 2 years and DH has been there about 15 months.

Dthurk...I would have never pegged you as a professional violinist/musician/teacher...I am an oboist myself, and hope to be getting back to playing in my church orchestra as soon as work calms down a bit and I have time to practice, lol. I majored in Music Education at UNCG, but burned out after 2.5 years and switched to accounting. I never lost my love of music, and now I am teaching my 7yo the piano, while the DH gets him started on the trumpet (he doesn't particularly enjoy the sound of my oboe, lol...little bit rusty since I am not practicing much). Perhaps one day soon I will be seen on TV Sunday mornings playing in the orchestra...

I have worked for the  U.S. Air Force since 1974  in one capacity or another. Active duty from 1974 to 1980 and Civil Servant from 1980 until now. Mostly in Aviation and Electronics also known as Avionics; however in 2001 they downsized (AKA as a RIF) and made me take a job in Hazardous Materials handling. Now I oversee the Toxics Program for a Large Mid-Western Air Force Base. I also build Hot-Rods and play in a Classic Rock Band but those are more hobbies than real money making occupations.

Sharon '66 is a social worker for a local Children's Organization. She has been with them since 1988.

I am a dissatisfied nurse practitioner, wanting a career change. I work for a cardiology group. Money's pretty good, so it is hard to leave, despite my unhappiness. Advanced practice isn't as fun as it used to be. I work part time, and stay at home dad part time.

My wife is a nurse anesthetist, and she loves her work.
