I am a tool & die designer for a small company and also have a startup metal working company of my own. Doesn't leave a lot of time for camping but just returned from my second trip of the year today.

I work for a local elementary school district as a day custodian.  Been at it for 24 years, have done both day and night custodial duties.
DW works for a company that works with disabled adults of varying disabilities.
She has been doing that for about nine years.  Before that she worked for many years for an Auto Insurance company.

Not only is it a fascinating mix of occupations, but if we all decided to go camping at the same time, obviously the whole economy would shut down!

My DH owns a HVAC company.  I am a field merchandiser.  Glorified babysitter as hubby puts it. I make sure new merchandise is on the store shelves for the customers.

We went on first trip with out new PUP last weekend.  Sure was chilly night in NE Ohio.  Think we will look to install a heater soon  !!!!!  The  utility tent and port o pot was awesome as I did not have to walk a mile to ummmmm.......  tinkle.............  Can't wait to try out the coleman water on demand when it warms up here.  So far we loved it !!  Far cry from the MH  but will not be hard to adjust to an easier life of camping.

All ya need is a camp fire and good friends...............oh a dirt track and racing might be awesome also !!!!!!

Hey finally someone in my field! In my past life I was an over the road truck driver. I have owned two of my own trucks. The last one my wife and I owned together and ran team. We have been to every state together except for Alaska. We were leased to and then drove company trucks for a company that did rock and roll tours. That was a fun job, not really like working. I bet some of you have been to shows that we brought in. I have also been in dispatch, been an operations manager and in sales all for trucking companies. I got downsized from a sales/ops position and no one wanted to pay for a comparable job. I would have had to take an 15-18K pay cut. I actually make more money with better benefits (not to mention no headaches with middle of the night phone calls from customers and drivers) driving a cement truck. I'm glad I kept my CDL current all these years. As long as I have that I'll never be out of a job unless I choose to be.

AZsix, I guess that makes 3 of us in the field.  I have been in trucking since 1980 and bought  my truck in 1984. Quickly sold it!  Too much headache. Drove for Ditch Witch hauling flatbeds after that. Now I have been working for the same trucking co for 19 years. I got tired of the road and went into the operations part of the business 10 years ago. I too managed the drivers. I had 115 of the local and regional drivers in Texas. I now the Account Manager for our co managing the JCPenney account. I am located at their headquarters in Plano,TX. It is nice, I only get about 3-5 calls a day and about 30-40 e-mails. No more night calls here either!!     :-()
