My Atwood Hydro flame Everest Star 7920-II furnace is only blowing out cold air.
Is there maybe a common problem or part that I can fix myself, or would it be something to take to my local rv repair? The electrical switch, and the gas is on, I set the heating temp on the thermostat and turn it on, after a few seconds the furncace turns on and starts blowing, shortly after that it sounds like its trying to ignight, but nothing. There are no gas leaks and I don't see any obvious wires broke or disconected. Any Ideas, Thanks

Check the voltage at your heater with the fan going. It should be 12v. Any less and the gas solenoid valve won't open.

If the voltage at the heater reads more than .3V lower then the battery voltage (under load), check to be sure that your grounding system, from the battery back, is good.

There is a slight chance that you could have a blockage in the gas line but that's rare. Crack a gas line and let some gas flow until you can smell it. Wait about 30 minutes for the camper to air out and try lighting again.

The gas solenoid is bad on mine but I don't care. I purchased a Mr Buddy heater. It does a good job of heating the PU. It uses no electricity and about 1/3 as much gas. I'll never repair my furnace.

If you call Atwood, they will be happy to help you trouble-shoot your furnace.

Hey, Thanks very much!!
Got it working.  I made sure the battery had a full charge and started checking things out. Turns out that the Heat Anticipator on the thermostat was shut all the way off, not allowing for any heat cycle. I adjusted it and thats all it took.

We have never used the furnace yet, but there are some chilly nights in the mountains of Wyoming that it could come in handy.

Thanks again for the help.
For joining PUT only in March I have learned so much.
