great news!!!

Kevin's latest ultasound shows that the hydronephrosis on his rt kidney is GONE!!!, it has resolved itself on it's own. His right kidney is still smaller than the left andthey aren't functioning on a 50-50 basis more like 73%-27%.

In one year, he will have to have another ultrasound to make sure it didn't come back, or if he gets another kidney infection.

sure beats the surgery we were facing a couple of years ago, glad we switched Dr's...

it IS a big relief. Kara had a minor outpatient surgery when she was 4 years old for an epigastric hernia (just above the belly button) ..she didn't wake up out of anethesia well and it about sent me over the edge. after they knocked her out again with pain meds, I went outside and comepletely lost it.  Kevin having major surgery and staying in the hospital for 4 days..they'd have to drug me...

thankfully that won't happen now

Congratulations !!!!... I work in the healthcare field and really agree on the 2nd opinion theory on most everything that involves surgery, and even lesser procedures that you have ANY doubts on.

WOW, that is great news! Kevin must be thrilled!

 Needless to say but I know Dee and Dan are also very excited! Of course the last time they were this excited, well Kara showed up nine months later! :-()
