$5.25 for diesel just south of us in Santa Barbara on the news last night; and a great 30sec interview with an oil exec saying.....with a straight face.....The fuel prices are so high in CA because it's a supply and demand issue.  There are no pipelines so it all has to be trucked and "we" need to start drilling for oil everywhere we can find it.

Read between the lines:  "Screw CA.  You folks decided not to let us put up any more oil drilling platforms in the Santa Barbara Channel, and everytime we have a pipeline (oh wait....there are no pipelines) rupture and dump millions of gallons of crude oil from our on shore storage tanks and refineries (oh wait....it all has to be trucked in) you make us clean it up.  Like 6-7 years ago when we bulldozed the entire beach town of Avila Beach....and what we didn't bulldoze due to historic value we had to pay to have moved.....and paid all the business owners off while we dug out millions of square feet of oil contaminated sand/soil and rebuilt the entire town from the ground up.  So CA, you owe us, and we are going to get our money back."

So according to his logic, there is a pipeline, a refinery, and an oil drilling rig supplying every city in the US......except for here in CA.  Wow, who knew.

87 unleaded hit 4.13 last night out in Orcutt.  I know Santa Maria is not far behind those numbers.

Welcome to the future.  It's all about the leftists.  They want power, and they figured out if they can create issues they can scare half of the country and motivate the other half through anger.  Lefty's always play to emotions.  They only deal with emotions, think with emotions, they feel their way around.  It's time people started thinking and using logic.  We should have been working on a solution to the energy issue when we discovered oil.  We need something that is sustainable.  It's out there.

We need to fix the social wreck before the violence starts first.
