Hi Folks,
Took group advise and bought Eterabond tape/seal. Has not arrived yet but, was wondering what people thought about covering entire center joint extrusion and all. This seems to be what their web site advises.

That's what I did. I used the 4" wide Eternabond and just ran a strip of it all the way along the center seam from front to back. Covered up the existing extrusion, center trim piece in it, everything. I think that's the best way to go. Be sure you clean up the roof real well before you put the tape down. It turned out to be a little tricky, but not too bad. Before I applied the tape, I took a small piece with the backing still on it, and got an idea how much I would have on each side of the extrusion, and then used a straight edge and a pencil and marked the entire length of the roof to use as a guide. Go slow and smooth it out as you go. You will not get a second chance to get it right, 'cause it sticks like nobody's business!

Good luck!

I used Eternabond on the center seam and then I used Henry rubber compound and "painted" it on the entire roof. I put 6 coats on and it really enhanced the roof top and it is working so far. I p/u the Henry product at Home Depot.

I did the perimiter with 2". Just right.

My center seam does not have a trim piece on top of the seam. I left the center seam alone.
