Anyone going to be there the last week of July? (July 26 - Aug 1)

We have made our reservations and would love to meet other PUP ExP's....

We're actually considering doing exactly that, at around the same time. I'm originally from Maryland and remember Frontier Town's amusement area fondly from my childhood days. Never camped there, however, so there's a bit of indicision before hauling everything up there from Georgia.

Q: Have you stayed there before? If-so, any tips/recommendations?

We stayed there for the first time last summer and fell in love with it. We got our recommendation from others on this site, by the way. Word of "caution", though....children/teens are very abundant here, and if you want to stay away from a very family oriented campground, this is not the place for you. However, if you crave a very family friendly campground, this place can't be beat. Not only do they have a fantastic water park (that is FREE to campers), but they also have FREE shuttle buses to the beach every 30 minutes.

As far as the facilities go, the bath houses are well maintained, and the camp store has everything you may need (although at a higher price than you can get at the Wal-Mart just down the road). On the condition of the sites, as people left during the week that we were there last year, maintenance personnel were on the site within 30 minutes clearing away any left behind trash. The sites are very adequate, in my opinion, as far as size goes. We didn't feel as if we were "on top of" our neighbors, but there is no defining separation between sites (i.e. trees or bushes) for the most part.

Trafic does flow through this park constantly, but even 2 sites from the main road last year, this did not pose a problem for us.

More pluses for us are the cable TV connection and Wi-FI access.

I think that is about it, lol...I will be happy to comment on any specific questions that anyone else has...just PM me or post a reply to this thread.
