What time of year do you best enjoy camping?

Where I live, it's hot and humid in the summer so I usually avoid camping in July and August if I can help it.  We camped over the Fourth of July weekend a couple years ago....miserable!!  The only time I felt comfortable was taking a shower, and without 30 seconds of turning the water off, I sweating and sticky again.

It seems like there's such a short time of "perfect temperatures."  So I wondered how others plan their camping times...

We love to camp in the fall.... cool enough for a camp fire but still warm enough so you dont freeze at night:) I hate camping in the heat of the summer... sweating up a storm and then  staying in Ac is not my idea of fun.

I second that.  From late Sept thru Late June works for me.  If I can pull the camper out of the snow, away I go.

Fall is the best time to go camping.

Autumn is my favorite time to camp, but I love camping all year long. Check out my pictures and you will see that I really camp all year long. :)

We enjoy a long camping season, usually starting with the Pop-up on Easter and camping through Thanksgiving. Late fall is our favorite time, around Halloween. Although this is after the peak of the turning leaves, we are also mostly enjoying the area by ourselves, as the first frosts are keeping both the insects away, kids are in school, and many have tucked their campers away for the year. Most parks are still providing full facilities.
