Site assignment

I contacted the campground and have everyone's site assignment.

Everyone, watch your directions.  When I typed in the campground name on microsoft streets and trips program it took me just north of Rt 80 not far from Hickory Run.  When you go to keen lake's web site it takes you to waymart which is over 30 miles north as the crow flies from there.  The campground is actually off of route 81 and route 6 past wilkesbarre.  I was using microsoft steets and trips which is normally very good and it showed the campground complete with name, address and phone number but it isn't located properly.

I checked the campground map and there is a 54, a 54 A, and a 54 B. Just in case anyone else was worried! HaHa! Mostly it was for me! I'm glad we'll all be in the same area.

Tracy, I called Keen from tonight's bball game for my site # and was told I was on site 56 and you were on 57. Guess they must have changed things if you called after me.

Scott, I wish your directions were the correct ones. It would be a lot closer for us to bring Kels home for M & W soccer games. Luckily bball ends this week and the coaches finally decided NOT to send the team to bball camp at the end of the week...

BTW, did anyone ask about bringing a 2nd car? If so, did they give you a price? They charge $10/day for a kid coming in a 2nd car so I'm thinking it will cost at least that. Guess I will have to call.

anthony, what name did you use to reserve it? They listed a bunch of sites to me that I don't think Tracy listed, so maybe she only listed the names she recognized. I know there were some I didn't know.

Di they still had Dee coming.  I told them that she wasn't (after confirming it with Ken) and had them move you and I down one site so that there wasn't a gap.  Paula has Raymond bringing a second car.  She didn't say anything about parking fee.  I could call and check tomorrow.

I think this is the most "together" we have ever been.

They did not say anything about a second car, I think though I did remember a fee for it. They have a one car rule, but because of where we are at they OK'd the Corolla, the parking by the office is extremely limited.

Hey guys and gals, if I can find it, anyone should be able to.

Just go up (I may be coming up the NE Extension, but get off right as I get to Wilkes Barre at the Wyoming Valley exit) I 81 through Wilkes Barre, to Scranton watch for East 6, East 6 is a limited access highway all the way to almost Waymart. Go through Waymart and watch on the right. The campground is marked. Road back to it is a little tight, at the lake, the office/pool complex is on the left. They said to park on the road (in front of the office).

Beware of pedestrians, especially if it is hot and people want to go to the pool. THat was what we saw when we drove up there. That was why I canged my reservation to coming in on Sunday. Hopefully most of the people will have left.
