Made it home about half an hour ago. I thought I heard someone say South Carolina.

dademt

We made it back home finally about 1 hour ago after dropping our niece off with her other uncle.  It was great meeting everyone and seeing the new faces.  Yes, even you Sara although you were a little to comfortable picking on me.  Just remember, it is the quiet ones you have to worry about.  I even suprised some of those who have known me for years.  Scary that way.  Well, to all, it was great and thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make this a success.

Cheryl

The Maryland contingent have made it home and all is well! Ordered Chinese Take-Out because I need to recover from all the fun had this week. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and although we had some problems with power (we DO NEED the A/C!) we managed to enjoy everything. I'm sorry I missed some of you to say goodbye but when the Wagon Master (CAPEd CODger) says MOVE 'EM out.....we move! We had good weather, good food, good friends, and good fun. Hopefully we will have the same next year. Hope to see even more of you then!
Safe camping everyone,
Cheryl and the gang

Cheryl is going to research some campgrounds for next years rally.  She will let us know where.:)

Raymond got home around 10:00AM and I have been home a while, laundry is done. Packingup was a hot process, well the outside anyway.  I kept the AC on until I unplugged.  The Bantam is swept and polished (on the inside) and ready for my CERT training August 7th and 8th, when I will be closer to Dover at Killens Pond.

The Sea Eagle inflatable Kayak works beautifully. UI found quite by accident ( I did not have the plug tightened tight enough and air leaked out of the seat) that sitting close to the floor makes the craft more stable.  This was the first time Kayaking, though I did do canoes as a child. and This was sorta like a canoe.  we will not tell anyone that I had to call the company to see why I did not have the correct fittings to blow it up, well I did, but they were hiding under the stern top, the thing just does not blow up when using the self bailing plug...the pictures in the instruction booklet and the instructions were less than helpful, the man at the company was great.  And the foot pump actually works better than the 12 volt inflator, it would only inflate to a certain point and I was getting fruatrated, but a few presses of the foot pump and the kayak was perfectly filled.  AND I did NOT flip.  Pretty good for an old out of shape lady, if I say so myself.

Raymond was bored most of the time, and we thought our TV was toast, we were on the side with the power problems...I unplugged it and Raymond came to me proudly saying he fixed it, it was unplugged...I did not tell him that was what reset it...let him think that I was silly trying to start an unplugged TV...I did not, just for the record, it was plugged in initially.

I had a good time, just not enough of it, Tracy and I went to the Farmers market in Honesdale Saturday and there was a massage therapist giving chair massages (not giving, selling actually), so I did 5 minutes as we had ice in the Explorer. then I made Raymond go back since I was going to ahve to go get gas anyway, and got 10 more minutes. Stayed up to say high to Mr. & Mrs. Copcarguy, and then took a NICE nap, I was well relaxed.  Got up, made pocket pork/taters/squash in DadEMTs fire, then took the kayak out for the last time this outting...Raymond got 4 pics with my camera, 2 were really bad.

Got to put the wash in the dryer, and grab a bite to eat, and go to bed early as tomorrow is a day at work (boo-hoo)...Until August 7th and Killens Pond...

I made it home around 1400.  Traveled part way with dademt and I passed Paula on I-81.  Looking forward to seeing everyone next year and some of you sooner.  I also want to thank those that helped me out this week.:)

We made it home around 8:00 safely. Traffic on the I-90 Masspike. Stopped in Honsdale because we saw a bargain (?) $4.00 fuel, I had planned on putting in a half tank of fuel. I told the earring faced attendant the amount to put in. He came back shortly after filling the gas and stated "Sorry dude, I kind of over filled your tank". I gave him what I planned to put in and said thank you and drove off with my full tank.

Thanks all for a good time. A special thanks to Cheryl, Tracy and Dee for spending the extra effort to organize the rally. Diane and Chris you know great neighbors make for a great trip. Dademt, Allie Joorga and Tyler helped make our trip extra great for Sean.

Hope to see all and more for another rally.

Mike I am glad you made it home safe and that PA gave you a reduced rate on gasoline.  :)

yeah, I was looking for Wyoming Valley and either missed it or it is called Clarks Summit from I 81...Oh well...I had a nice lunch at the Cracker barrel on I 81 and PA 61.  it took a little longer, the drive, but it is only about a half and hour more and the bonus is that there was no Philly traffic and any going home on Sunday Beach traffic was coming towards me on PA 10 and PA 41.  Raymond did the same thing, but caught I 80, earlier in the day.

I know we are looking south for next year but as an idea for the future years, my parents are camping at Lake George in NY and said it would be great for a group camping trip.  Just an idea.

Scott,
I think that is a great idea and will keep it in mind for future trips or if we can't head South.

Don't worry Anthony, Becky doesn't buy tee shirts so she doesn't get to choose the color.:)

Sounds like next year's rally location is undetermined.  Thought that would be voted on at this year's rally.  Was no vote taken?
