I second the vote to pass on the pink shirts.  Sorry but I will never be that "secure".

SheBantam

Dave, we could not come to a consensus, so Cheryl is going to look around and post serveral and we will vote on those.  I am almost 100% certain that it will not be in NC Mountains again. Probably the choice will be closer to most of our homes.

For the record I would buy a pink shirt. I bought the yellow one at for the Rally in NJ last year and that is NOT a color I would normally buy, sepecially THAT yellow. Give me a good tank top in the summer, tees are for cooler weather (imho).

I'm not sure about Lake George. It is almost as far as going to Fort Wilderness.

HersheyGirl

How far is it?   I am clueless.

aw738

Over 750 miles.

HersheyGirl

Ohhhhhhh.....never mind about Lake George.

Cheryl

For the record....
Hershey, Pa. to Lake George, NY is 346 miles or about 4 and half hours drive.

Quote from: dthurkSounds like next year's rally location is undetermined. Thought that would be voted on at this year's rally. Was no vote taken?
Dave you are correct, no vote was taken.  Cheryl is going to check out some campgrounds and let us know.:)

Yahoo maps has me in New Castle, DE  Trip distance: 325.70 miles Time: 5 hrs 22 mins..I DO NOT think that this is allowing for towing and a high profile trailer, potty breaks and with that distance, prior to setting up, LUNCH...adding another couple of hours for all that and that take up a day with set up.

Just got back from DC (not camping) so missed this topic. Lake George is a pretty area but VERY crowded in summer. Years ago, we camped in early Sept and it was wonderful. If you do go there, check out Evergreen Lake George Resort.

I won't vote on WHERE the rally is since I'm not sure if we'll be able to make it (HS sports). We will simply have to wait and see how things work out next year. This year worked out nicely since it was close enough for Kels to go back to NJ for games.

Later this week, we're off to Lake Sebago, Maine and then Cape Cod - camping this time. Can't wait  :-() . Trying to squeeze in trips whenever the schedule permits.

Think  SOUTH...

Cheryl

We really want to!!! But, with the economy and current gas prices.......
How far north would you be willing to travel? And would you definitely join the Rally? In the interest of input....thank you,
Cheryl

Lake George is a 4 and half hour from the City,  5 with the trailer , If Kens health is better we might beable to do the drive,

we have not done a Rally in Delaware. There is nothing in the North, but downstate near the beaches, there is a lot.  I am not too keen on Tall Pines near Lewes, their full hookups are in the full sun.  Holly Lakes has a great tranient section BUT no sewer. Full hook ups are in the seasonal section and they are not altogether for a large group. THey have some in a row (pull throughs) but I do not think that there is enough for all the ones who need full hookups together.  They are also a little Pricey.

Ft. Whaley (MD) I am not sure about.  Full hook ups looked to be pretty sunny (aka HOT).

Tall Pines Harbor (near Chincoteague VA) would also have the issue of togetherness, especially for full hook ups. They have 3 or 4 in a row in several places and their new section and restrooms should be open by then. No cable TV but they do have WIFI. This is where the Cabin A is stored, and they will move it on site included in the storage fee.  They do have a honey wagon that Ray takes around for a $5.00 fee, if people have to have a non sewer site and they do not wnat to mess with a tote tank.

My votes in for Lake George.
