Did we decide where to have this? I checked Guajome and there are no sites available that weekend.

How many would be interested in camping for Thanksgiving?

We are interested, just not camping with you guys ;)

We already have reservations at Half Moon Bay for Thanksgiving.

Quote from: griffsmomYes, this would involve arriving on Wednesday (evening for me so it needs to be somewhat close to home) and leaving on Sunday.

Maybe Canyon RV, so we could have hook ups? any other ideas?

If you plan it....they will camp :U

Lori we are interested, is this still going to happen and if so where have you decided?

Ronin will be the size of a large Turkey by then, just like the ones at Lopez Lake.

I would really like to do this, and Dave has only requested that there be cable so he can watch the football games--a very reasonable request, so I'm thinking either Newport Dunes or Flying Flags. I have not checked availability yet for either cg, but am leaning towards FF, just because the sites are a bit bigger and they appear to be a little less expensive ($76 vs. $89). I don't know if they'll give us a group rate if we have enough families. In any event, we should probably move on this soon before sites sell out.

What are your thoughts on these two possible CGs?

GEEEEEEZ!!!!! Just do it, will ya... :D

You tell us where to go (carefully) and we'll be there. We don't care where it is, as long as we have good friends there. If anyone else has needs that need to be met, DO IT!!!!! and let's reserve a place.

I'll bring the turkey......just tell me where.... :-()

I don't think we will want to make a trip to flying flags for just two nights. OF course if we have to drive to Arroyo grande for thanksgiving with dawnnes uncle then it would probably work out.   Newport would be ok, if we got a group rate.  That place is not cheap.

FOOTBALL GAMES?????? :yikes:  :yikes:

David...David...David....What happened to poker

Just kidding....have Brian (or somebody) bring his satellite dish.

Dieter,

We got a good lesson in economics last weekend. We spent $600 for gas in 2 days. I'm starting to look at more expensive CG as apposed to driving long distances. Although, $100 a night for a camping spot just sorta makes my skin crawl......it's just the principal of the whole thing that bothers me but I'll get over it for T/G weekend. I just want to see us get something going before my brother calls and says, "Hey...how about Lake Skinner for Thanksgiving?"  :morning:

Yeah I hear ya, but even driving that far with three kids is um fun.  We may be up in ff area for thanksgiving anyway we'll see

OOOOOOOPS!!!!!

I may have overstepped my bounds here.....  :morning:

We have to check with some friends that may have been expecting us for T/G.........I hope that I didn't blow it.... :eyecrazy: I really want to go camping.....it's been like......over a month. :yikes:

At least I found out that my brother will be in Japan for T/G and the Lake Skinner threat is off my back. :p

More to follow.................................... :sombraro:
