Don't do it, go somewhere else, anywhere else.  That is unless you really enjoy freight trains that run at all hours of the day and night 50 feet from the campground.  But sometimes the noises from the highway on the other side of the camper help to balance out the train noises.  Sites are narrow and close together, bathhouse, fairly clean, but only two showers aren't sufficient.  I guess the pool has a bottom, but I can't see it.  I'll go somewhere else next time.

Many folks prefer American Heritage campground - due to lack of train noise, as well as the amenities.

I have a membership to Outdoor World, so camp at their location, but I do check rvparkreviews.com's website.

We camped across the James River at Chippokes Plantation State Park, near Surry, Va. If you like quiet, this was the place.   Far removed from the over-crowded, over-priced Williamsburg campgrounds, but actually very close - to get to Jamestown/Williamsburg, you cross the bay on an auto ferry (10-minute ride). Two ferries running all the time, so never a long wait, and the kids have a blast feeding the seagulls off the back.
