I have a question about dual hitch. My tv is a '01 olds silohouette minivan with a v6. We are new to the pup world and we just recently got a  '05 Rockwood freedom. We want to take 4 bikes with us when camping and I'm wondering if using a dual hitch would work okay. We have a bike rack prior to getting the pup. In theory, the bike rack would fit in the top receiver and the pup on the lower. Am I correct on my line of thinking? Thanks for your help. :U

The weight limit is not the only concern if you intend to use 4 bikes. They will extend quite a way back from the TV and you get two interference points. First direct interference from the bikes to anything on the trailer tongue; and second which can sneak up on you is cornering clearance.
Loading the bike from largest to smallest gives the most clearance for cornering.
We recommend installing your rack in the TV's receiver with the bikes loaded and put the trailer as close as possible to check for possible interference before spending money.

Thanks for the info.

We just purchased this from Uhaul and it worked good with our existing 2" bike carrier, what i liked was the 5000lb capacity, the draw back was that you have to hook up the trailer before adding the bike rack, and then remove the bike rack before you can un-hitch.
