It fits in our garage like it was made for it  :sombraro: .

Hey Wayne,

If you enjoy yours HALF as much as I do mine, you will be very happy indeed.  Now you must join the TMO site //www.trailmanorowners.com and the TrailManor Yahoo site.  We are having a rally in N. Cal in late October at the Petaluma KOA.

Congrats on the Camper you guys. Hopefully it makes it easier for you.

I can't believe that we had all this stuff in the Coleman PU and we can't figure out how to get it in this TM..... :eyecrazy:

Hey Wayne,

Where is your wardrobe?  Did the previous owner remove it? I never knew of a no wardrobe option.......you can get a replacement (birch not oak now though) from the factory if you want to replace it.

I was going to get one but my DW doesn't want it. She loves the counter space and the open look.....

Hey Larry.....does your Trailmanor have the electric levelers? If so, do you like them?

This one has them but I have mixed emotions about them.

What is the trick to pushing the roof all the way down to latch it? It's not a big deal for me but there is no way that my 5' 3", 120# (50ish~ year-old) wife could do it by herself.

Hey Wayne,

No, I don't have the electric levelers, I have heard that they are standard on the 25th Anniversary edition, but I know of no one (except you now) that has the electric levelers.

As for closing the shells, make sure that you don't leave anything on the beds as there is little to no clearance when the shells come down, and I have seen where some people have made a small extension using hooks, lengths of chain, and a cross bar that they attach to the stirrups and it gives a little more leverage and make closing much easier.  As an FYI, my wife who is almost an exact match to yours leaves the latching to me.

If I can find a picture of the stirrup extender I will forward it along, but I think you get the idea.

I'd love to see a picture of the stirrup extender.

I can't believe how easy it is to set one of these things up. We set it up every evening when my DW gets home from work. We work on it for a few hours then pop it down. It really does take less than 5 minutes. It was a little intimidating at first but after a little practice, it's actually fun.

It's also nice that we can pop-up while still attached to the TV. That makes it ideal for stopping for lunch at some beautiful scenic view point.

Congratulations Wayne and Caroline.  I am so glad you found your ntu trailmanor.  Where did you end up having to drive to?  I thought you originally said Tennessee but then you said Oregon.

I know what you mean about all the stuff that came out of the pup.  When we got the new hybrid, Randy took everything out and put it on the side of the house.  I couldn't believe all the stuff.  We got rid of some and the rest found its new home inside.  We still had space inside after everything was put away.  I guess I need to buy more stuff:eyecrazy: :D

Well, we found one in Tenn that was a newer model (2006) and exactly what we wanted but it had a lot of hail damage. We came to an agreement on the price but she hymned & hawed around about towing it to Oklahoma City to relieve us of some of the distance (even though we agreed to put the total amount $ in an escrow account). Something just wasn't quite right about something  :eyecrazy: .

Meanwhile, this one came up in Richland, Wa. It's an older trailer but in excellent condition, with a 3-year-old 4 cu ft fridge, a 1-year-old water heater and water pump. It has lots of extra but it isn't exactly the trailer we wanted.

The price was right and the distance was doable, although barely  :morning: .

Great idea! A length of rope with an S-hook at each end! Drop the S-hook onto the the appropriate spot on each side - maybe on the side U-bolts - then drop the middle of the loop over your butt, and simply lean into the loop.

So Wayne how did the A/C install go??

wavery

It's really, "Cool". :frosty:

The basic install took about an hour and a half. Now I have to fine tune the thing.

I have to water-proof the inside of the cabinet that the AC sets in. Then I am designing a set of baffles so that the hot air coming out of the back of the AC unit doesn't get mixed with the fresh outside air that is coming into the unit to cool the condenser That's the open space on either side of the back of the AC, separated by those cardboard pieces).

That was a big design flaw in these Trailmanors. Whoever designed the installation of that side AC unit didn't know what he was doing. They finally abandoned the side AC unit, rebuilt the roof on the camper to accept the traditional roof AC. That is a better design anyway but I have to work with what I have because this roof was not designed to handle a roof AC.

My preliminary installation is working great. It took the temp from 88 degrees down to 70 degrees in about 30 minutes. You just can't ask for better than that.

The other thing is, this 10,000BTU AC unit only draws 10.4A, That's 1155W. I can run the AC with my 2000W generator and it doesn't even put a strain on it. I could even run the coffee pot or microwave at the same time.

Here's the outside installation. I still have to install the grilles and make some aluminum baffles (where you see the cardboard) and mount them on piano hinges. When it's finished, it'll look nice.

Here is the inside installation. It's complete.
