I have to admit, KOA was never on my hot list previously - and it was because of the posting throughout ALL KOA camping areas - and that is regarding "No Rothweilers, No Pit Bulls and No Doberman's - but they have changed the language also to read - "unless the show no agression" and we have a Doberman that is so loving and wants to be around people and children. He is formadible in size (104 lbs) but since we never had the ears cut and pointed, he has a much softer look about him.

We are at the Allentown-Lehigh Valley KOA in Tripoli PA right now and would highly recommend the place. The bathrooms are clean, the layout is comfortable for the various pull-thru (which are not all with full service) and back in sites. But they do have WiFi and cable. The biggest downfall is the lack of vegetation between sites (I would guess most sites are about 8 to 10 feet from one RV/camper to the next) so privacy is not something to be expected.

The best unexpected feature of this camp ground is the delivery of home-made dinners. My husband was going to be going to a stadium to cover the Drum Corp competition and I opted to stay in the camp grounds and read a book and babysit the dog. By filling out a form before 5PM, you have delivery right to my numbered site on Friday and Saturday night, I had home-made ravioli, salad and Italian bread one night - and since the food was so great, I ordered another evening of chicken parmesan with ziti, salad and Italian bread. Very pleasant surprise! We would return to this camping area!

The other PA KOA campground we visited was located in West Chester PA and we had a full hook-up back-in site with dozens of trees between us and the next camp site. Was very private - you could hear each other but not see each other. If you have a satelite dish you might want to get one of the pull-thru sites in the middle, which have less vegetation between them. They have a brand new rec hall, where you can order some foods, a huge pool, very clean bathrooms. We would definetly return for more weekend camping!
