Ran across this campground while looking for CG in the area.  Anyone been there?  Is it as nice as it seems?

On one of our bike rides through that area. We stopped there and rode our bike around the CG. If you take a closer look at the RV sites you can see Palm trees. these are the only trees there, so there is not much shade. also the RV sites are all dirt and I don't remember if they had hook-ups, a phone call would answer that question. Oh Ya, it is right next to the 101, so would would be hearing that traffic noise all the time. I would stay there as a stop along the way to something else, but I wouldn't plan my vacation trip there.
If you go, let me know how you like it  :)  and at the end of Hot springs road is a great cafe call "fat cats"

Nice pool but a nice hefty ($45 a night) price tag  too. Just by looks of it I would guess that it's popular with larger rv's.

It's not a fancy place and the sites are close together and surrounded by roads and the 101, but it's still fun because of all the available activities. The pools are nice. The trail-head for a nice bike path is nearby and takes you on an easy ride to the beach at Avila Beach. You can stop partway at a cute little deli/restaurant. There's also a nice touristy farm-stand place within walking distance where you can see farm animals, buy produce, knickknacks and home-baked pies, cookies, ice cream, etc.

Avila Beach is a fun place to hang out, especially on Friday evenings between April and mid-September because they have live music, street BBQs and a fish and farmer's market. You can grab a fish taco and dance in the streets while watching the sunset after a tough day of playing in the ocean.

You're also right by Pismo Beach and San Luis Obispo, and near lots of good wine country, so you can do the touristy thing.
