Congratulations Dan and Matt on the dirt bikes. Can't wait to see them.

Quote from: DK&3kidsyeah - where is Dan NOW? haha! Matt got an '05 Kawasaki 125 and Dan got an older than that 400 Endura. He'll need to get on and fill in the blanks. Matt's bike came with a complete set of gear - helmet, chest guard, boots, etc. We made him pay for the whole thing - I never, ever, ever thought he'd save all that money. I had to keep my word!

And Brian - I can't even ride a bicycle straight!!! Desert trips = weekend at the spa for ME!

They can ride with us in the Dez anytime.

You will have to come out to the Dez to see em!

OC Campers

Dan and Matt, save Memorial Day weekend.  We have a huge get together out in the Mojave desert.   Lots of fun.

Quote from: waveryI thought sure that it was Griffsdad........I thought maybe he settled for a dirt bike because Lori won't allow him to have his Harely.... :sombraro:
Quote from: TheVikingI don't think he's Allowed to have a dirtbike either.:)
Sorry boys, you both got it wrong. First of all, getting a dirt bike wouldn't be "settling" for anything and Dave's allowed to get a dirt bike....as long as I get one too. (Hell, he's allowed to get a Harley too--right after he gets that $1 million life insurance policy.) But judging from some of the more spectacular mountain bike crashes I've had, I'm probably the one that would end up needing Life Flight!

Problem is...we would want a truck for the bikes, but we just paid the Expedition off last month and would like to enjoy only one car payment for awhile. Plus, we're still paying on the hybrid, and if we ended up getting a toyho, my mom wouldn't want to come camping with us anymore, and that would just be plain 'ol sad. So dirt bikes might still be a couple more years off in our future. Hmmm....maybe Matt will let me ride his in the meantime....;)

I need to check the boards more often, now I see what happens when you ask a friend where to go dirt bike riding in So. Cal. and if he is going out anytime soon. Matt has been saving up for sometime now for a dirt bike, he became a Craigslist ,Recycler and Cycle Trader online fanatic and found himself one with all the gear, now being a responsible father what was I to do?? went out and pick one up also. Thanks for the congrats Dave, Matt has a 2005 Kawasaki KLX 125 and I have a 1991 Suzuki DR 350 S. we are both looking forward to going out one of these weekends. Jacqui, Memorial Day weekend sounds like it would be fun, you'll have to give us the details.

Wait a minute! What colors are Kawasaki (venturing a guess, black?) and Suzuki (hmmm, yellow?) I only know Yamaha blue and Honda red from talking with Brian. (Sorry, it's a girl thing)

DK&3kids_Dan

You had them all correct except for the Kawasaki color, they are green. You are very perceptive, it took me awhile to figure that one out also. I wanted a blue bike but ended up with a yellow one.

I'm sure the yellow will bring out the gold in your eyes.  Hrumph, hrumph, er, I mean, I'm sure you look very macho on Suzuki yellow. :D

TheViking

I have Yamaha and it's Black.   Ashlee's Honda 250 is Yellow.

Don't wait too long Lori, Dave may need training wheels, and there is no place on a dirtbike to attach a walker if we ride somewhere that requires him to get off and explore.:)
