last weekend while out camping,i set up the outside stove on my 2002 coleman mesa.it seams i can't get any pressure to it.first i thought it was the 20lb. propane tank,as i have had problems with these exchange  programs where you swap out your empty tank for a refurbished full tank.after swapping tanks no different.the burners light but the flame is so low it just flickers.i can light the inside stove and water heater with no problems.could this be the regulator at the tank??? i need some HELP PLEASE

Kato, From what you have described the problem might be that your outside propane line is low pressure and thus your high pressure stove will not work with this.  The stove on the inside is low pressure and hence it works OK.

You can either put a "T" before the second regulator and run a separate hose to the stove OR use a one or ten pound propane cylinder with the outside stove.

Hope this helps.

PS if you in fact have an high pressure line to the outside stove then inspect the line and connections for problems.

If the outside stove is regulated high pressure, it needs 16 psig to operate.

You should see a tee after a single stage regulator set to 16 psig. one side of the tee goes to the stove and the other should have a 2 stage regulator to supply the inside of the PU.

The 16 psig regulator is adjustable by opening the back and turning the adjuster. Any dealer should be able to adjust this to 16 psig!

The stove should have disposale tank thread on the end of the hose that connects to the PU. If it had a quick connect, it would be plain ole standard low pressure.

Here is Chucks '02 Bayside high pressure the red tape is the 16psig regulated propane.

Others have suggested knocking some of the rust out of em to get them back to working also, that's the easist place to start!

I hope this information is helpful.

I had the same problem with my high pressure stove2 years ago. I thought it was the regulator, but after testing it out the reg was fine. It turned out to be a spider nest inside the stove before the burners. I disassembled the entire stove and cleaned out every line with a small pipe cleaner and reassembled it. The stove has worked beautifully ever since. Hope this helped.
