By the way anyone know what the rules are with tents at doheny? Can we put a tent and a trailer in one spot??

According to the web site, tents are allowed on beach sites and any others that allow tents, some are just rv sites. When we where there alot of beach sites had tents and RV's.

I have to think of some fair way to give it out if we decide not to use it. Maybe to the people who tried to get spots online when we reserved them, or using Waynes waiting list, which may be the same...

We have till april to decide....

that may be the best way. I believe he may have them in order but not sure...

site size may also determine it...

Does anyone know of a way to see a picture of site #99? I'd take a satallite or regular view. I seem to remember that Lori (Griffsmom) was able to get picture of sites during a past rally. Reserve America shows that the site is 27' but Leanne states that it is EXTREMELY SMALL. My friend has a Saratoga PUP (14' box - king beds.) + suburban

go to http://www.dohenystatebeach.org/

Click on campsite layout (about half way down). it will bring up a map of the CG, click on the number site you want and you get two pics of the site....

Yes that is a much better picture of the site than from the satellite.

How do you book a site for this camp? I have checked every weekend from now til Jan 2010 and it's booked solid, what's the secret, we never been their but hear great things. thanks for any help or suggestions. Toby.

It can't be the reservations go thru reserve america and are done on the first day of the month 7 months in advance. If you want a site you have to hit enter exactly at 8am :eyecrazy: they book up almost instantly Feb 1st is the date for any camping in Aug..

keep checking back I think some of the Sccampers have an extra site...I believe 99 is available, but don't hold me to it...if someone has an extra site they will respond soon
