William Heise was great.  COLD but great.  It was windy fri night when we showed up at about 7.  After being explicately told when we checked in to be sure that we keep the fire low, and put it out if it got too windy, we only left it on long enough to make S'Mores.

Sat we went to Julian, and it was PACKED.  We went on hike in the morning and got a late start, so partially our fault.  Took 90 minutes to get a table for lunch!! :yikes: .  But we still managed to have fun.

We left sunday stopped for Pizza in Wynola, and I FORGOT TO UNPLUG THE TRAILER!!  After waiting 2 HOURS for AAA we finally made our way home.  STUPID :banghead: .  For not unplugging, and not having jumper cables.  Hell I could have jumped myself from the trailer!!

OH well.  The Park is VERY NICE, the DW loved it, and we will go back again I am sure.  I could just imagina SCCampers taking over that loop!!

Maybe the AAA guy was stuck coming up the mountain. When we headed home the road was shutdown because of an accident. The police were making everybody turn around and go back up the mountain. Luckily we were just showing up when the police got the message the road was going to reopen so they let us go ahead and just wait. That was alot better than trying to go all the way around and down to the 8. :eyecrazy:

No, he got called for some CHP work, but said it wasn't an accident.  HOWEVER I know why the road was closed, as we drove down a Motorcycle rider wiped out on his bike.  An older man, it must have just happened because no emergency vehicles were there yet.  He was laid out on the ground.  Must have been pretty serious if they had to close the road down.

Glad the camp ground was nice.  Sounds like the Julian that I remember.  Very crowded.  D@&$ tourists!!!   There aut to be a law against 'em.  How can we enjoy everything if its all jammed up.  :D  :D
