Mountain Camping

Hello

Im looking for campgrounds that are high in the mountains.  Other than Skyline drive, does anybody have any good spots they know of.  We do Skyline drive camping all the time and love it, but looking for any other spots. Any place within 2 or 3 hours from Washington DC. Just love the mountain air and high elevation.  Thanks!
