Hey Harold
are you out there  ;)
We would like to get in on this camp-out also. Can you verify if we really need to call on January 1st or will they be closed on that day and if they are closed. Do we call on the 31st or on the 2nd.

FYI ........ here is a link for Info on Serrano

There is also this campground:
http://www.bigbearboating.com/rvpark.php

I just called them and they start taking reservation for the 4th of July on Jan 20th. One person can book as many sites as he/she likes.

The prices on the website are not correct (according to the lady that I talked to). They are $45-$60 per night (full hook-ups) and a 10% discount on group bookings.

Just another option that I thought I would throw out there for the Wagon-Master (58Air) to consider.

I've never been there, don't know anything about it. I was just throwing it out there.

For what it's worth, here it is from GoogleEarth:

It looks like this picture was taken in winter. All of the boats are out of the water and seem to be parked in camping spots with blue tarps on them.

I do not believe that pic is accurate Serrano is just east of Fawnkin..

It's a very nice campground you are "out in the woods" but the bathrooms are not close to the full H/u site  We had the PU then and our friends had a tent and they used the PU potty as the kids were littler and we would of spent all day back n forth to to the bathroom...I would go there again except not 4th of July
