Thank you everyone for a great weekend.  What better way to celebrate a birthday than to be camping with the SCcampers!  Lori thanks for making the cake.  It was awesome.  Dave, I hope you have a wonderful birthday. :cake:

We had a great time.  The CG is a lot of fun, and the company was great.

I realized this weekend, that our camping trips would probably be pretty boring if we didn't have such great friends to meet at the CG.

I took some pics, but the real photographer was Kendall, he did a GREAT job shooting pictures, I may not have to take anymore from now on, check them out...

Dieter.......your pics are goooood....but I've gotta tell ya.....Kendall's pics are the best that I have ever seen of Pt Mugu. They truly capture the essence of that CG and of that camp-out..........what a great photographer that guy is. I'm really proud of him.

Tell Curtis that if he keeps stretching his mouth like that, it'll stay that way.....:sombraro:

Good pics by Kendall. Glad he had enough sense not to take a picture of me in my bathing suit!! LOVE the ones of Dave sleeping--made me :J. But Dieter, you may want to work on your posing--and that was BEFORE the maragrita!! :eyecrazy: The signs to Mommy were especially endearing.

I  have pics too--just haven't downloaded them yet. maybe in the next few days, or perhaps this weekend....

Griffsclan had a great tme as always. The weather was wonderful and the company even better. It was fun sharing Lois' and Dave's birthdays--any 'ol excuse for :cake: and ice-cream! :D Thanks for the $$$ on the Indy race.  Griffy and I are living large off our winnings!

Glad Carol and Jim got their battery gremlins fixed. Ours on the camper ran strong all weekend...it was the one on the car that gave us the problem when we were hitched up and ready to head home! Three cheers for lifeguards who carry jumper cables!! :#:!

I have to say that it felt like old times, being back with you all.  It's nice to know that even after a longer than I like absence I'm still welcome & feel so much a part of the group.

Pt. Mugu is a great place, made even better by the company I enjoyed it with.  Thanks for sharing laughs and kids with Jed and me this weekend.  It was truly a relaxing, refreshing time.

Now I'm really looking forward to Smithwoods!!

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!! Seems I told him the same thing...........A bit thick...maybe?....:J

Sorry that you had trouble. I had cables with me (always do) but I had to leave early....:%

BTW......................never buy a car on eBay.........:banghead:

I bought a 2008 PT Cruiser with 2,000 miles on it, from a dealer in Florida......how could I go wrong.....right?????

I buy the car and it idles rough and dies at intersections......no problem....2,000 miles, car is under full warranty. I take it to a Chrysler dealer and the nightmare unfolds.

The car was a repo in Florida. (It seems) The previous owner drained all the fluids from the car and drove it until it burned up (This is the Chrysler dealer's theory, here in LA). The bank got the car back and sold it at auction. The buyer put a junk-yard engine and trans in it and an after-market radiator then takes it back to the auction and the wholesaler that I bought it from, buys it.

Bottom line...car has no warranty and the engine is junk. :%

BTW........I didn't find this car. My boss (who lives in a different country and visits here once a year) found the car on eBay and asked me to buy it for her........I advised against it but she wanted it, so here it is. I sure hope she gives me my $11K back......:morning:

was ok.  But not cherry enough.  Dawnne says the stuff straight tastes like cough syrup.  I may try it with cherry coke...

Battery is recharged and the car is starting - no problem. I have cables but I will keep them in the car. Thanks again for everyone looking out for me and telling me my trunk was open. :sombraro: I just didn't know.

Dieter, Dieter, Dieter - you need to man up and knock back a few stiff ones - not those Fu Fu drinks. I'll bring some Jack next time.
