East Coast July Rally

Hi Everyone,
I have posted information under the Rally category for any who are interested in joining in this summer. We are trying to narrow our choices and zero in on one campground that interests the attendees. Please help us make our choice.
My group (6 families) are really interested in the Yogi at Shangri La campground for the proximity to the river and to Knoebels Amusement Park.

Why not stay at Knoebels in Elysburg?

Hi Pattie,
I, personally, have never camped at Knoebel's BUT I have talked to people who have. They say that the sites are tight and that kids run amok 24/7. With over 600 sites I guess it is difficult to "police" that size of a campground. If you have personal information to contradict this I would be very happy to hear your story. We want to plan a Rally that all who attend will enjoy.

P.S. The Yogi at Shangri La was also of interest because of it's proximity to the Susquehanna river.

Cheryl I have been to the campground at Knoebles and I would not want to camp there.  They also own a campground called Lake Glory, but it doesn't have a pool or access to the river that I know of.  I will check on any places to jet ski that are close to Lake Glory.  Another nice thing about the Yogi is "The Fence Drive In".  It is a drive in restaurant with curb service, picnic tables and inside tables.  They have a dock so you you can come up the river for a meal!  It has a limited menu, but the food is good.  If there is anything you want me to do let me know.  This is my home area.

The deadline is nearing. I only have 8 posted expressions of interest in the Rally for this July. Please post your interest as soon as possible. I would like to make group reservations the first week of February. Thank you for the help.
