Hello all, we are planning a trip at the end of june to acadia park.  I've been doing some research on it and it seems like a nice place to go.  we would be staying for a week.  i'm just wondering if there are enough places to see and things to do,  we like biking hiking and love fishing.  does anyone know how the fishing is? are there any little camp stores or grocery stores nearby?  is firewood plentiful?  and exactly how far away are the showers,  i heard that they were building some within the park?  does anyone have pictures of the campgrounds?  i still don't know if we want to go to sea wall or blackwoods  if not them,  any other suggestions?  sorry about all the questions but this will be our first out of state- 400+ mile trip with the popup, so i'm trying to cover all bases.  thanks all

We were at Acadia a couple summers ago and loved it.  We can't wait until we have the opportunity to go back.  Showers were at the entrance of Blackwoods, which is where we stayed.  We have a TT, so didn't need facilities.  Don't know about Seawall, didn't get out there and haven't heard about showers in the campground.  Maybe others out there can fill in my gaps.  There was plenty for us to do on our 6 night stay.  Our then 11 yo daughter also had a great time.  That's quite an accomplishment at this stage of the game.  Biking and hiking are what the parks all about, you should have a wonderful time.  Don't know anything at all about the fishing.  Oh, when you're there, make sure you eat some lobster.

We go to Blackwoods in Acadia N.P. every July and love it! Seawall doesn't do reservations, 1st come, 1st served only.

There's a small store near Blackwoods and also showers right outside the entrance.

It's a beautiful place with plenty of kayaking, hiking, biking, and MOST importantly, CLAMS, MUSSELS, & LOBSTERS!
