84 Dodge D150. My dad signed the title over to me after I started paying the taxes, insurance, etc. See sign line below.

GeneF

1950 Buick Special 4-door
Straight 8
Stick Shift
Two-tone  White top, black bottom

Paid $50 for it but it needed a tranny.  Went to a junkyard and bought one for $25.

I helped my father put it in.

Then I moved on to a 52 Studebaker for $100

Kind of funny that I am talking $50 for an 8 year old car where you would most likely pay around $500 or more for an 8 year old car today.

Old Starcraft

Love hearing about these old cars. !  Mine was a 1974 Chevy Monte Carlo, bought it for $500. Can't forget the 8 track player and came with AC DC Back in Black. After I had it for a while it lived up to the Chevy namesake.

White with gold vinyl top, 1975 Plymouth Fury 2dr, 318 with 3 on the tree manual transmission, manual steering and manual brakes.  Dad bought the car new, but went extremely cheap on the options.  I was allowed to drive it at 16, then it was a graduation gift from when I graduated high school in 81.  I replaced the bench seat with buckets, the factory hubcaps with factory rally wheels and painted the gold top, black.

perterra

56 Chevy 2 door post.

My first car was a '76 Pontiac Astre (think twin to a Chevy Vega).  Silver and about as stripped down as they came in those days.  Vinyl seats, no a/c, only AM radio.  I loved that car!

In high school I drove the old '67 family station wagon.  I think it was a Ford.  Great car for hauling lots of friends.

My first car was FIAT 72, bought in USSR (where I had lived then).  :eyecrazy:

My first car was a '77 Gran Prix that I had to share with my older brother since he was in between cars.  Someone had wired in a button to start it instead of fixing the ignition system but it seldom worked right.  You'd have to turn the key and hit the button, but it had to be timed right or else it wouldn't start, pain in the royal rump.  Got me back and forth to work for a good while though.
