1985 S-10 blazer with the 2.8 engine...piece of junk...couldn't get out of its own way going down a hill...second car was a 1989 jeep comanche pick up with the 5 speed manual and the inline 6...one of the best vehicles I have ever owned

I had a 1976 Cutlass Supreme, Metallic Silver Body with a Maroon Roof.  The interior was just lovely - maroon carpets and maroon interior & dashboard plastic combined with brown and orange plaid seats (on a white background).  It ran like a champ; I got rid of it because I wanted (not 'needed') an '83 Cutlass Supreme Brougham with the velour seats, big engine, tape deck, etc.  I miss them both.

My first car was a pristine 1968 Oldsmobile 442 convertible.  I worked and saved during the summer of 1974 so that I could buy myself a car.  I found this great car that had been stored on blocks at a soldier's parent

My first car was a brand new 1973 Blue Datsun pickup, which went for $2,000. The commander; my dad; put down $200 and I had to get a job to pay the $80 monthly payments; $1.65 an hour job. I remember driving the car to the Selective Service Office to register for the draft. Those were the days.

Quote from: brainpause1979 Chevy LUV pickup. It was my grandfather's, so it had a lot of sentimental value. But I was under it more than I was in it.

I remember my brother having a Chevy Luv P/u

My first car was a '69 VW bug that my mom paid $1,200 for in 1981, my HS graduation present--and made me pay for half. I complained like a spoiled brat about having to pay for half of my graduation present, until my mom reminded me who was paying for registration, license, tax, insurance, and giving me a gas credit card to boot.

I dug that car big time and drove it for two years until the fuel line slipped off while driving home one morning at 2:00 a.m. Good thing I had known of VWs' propensity to blow up and had a full size fire extinguisher in the back seat! :yikes:

1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS that my grandparents ordered the day after the Camaro was introduced on Sept. 29, 1966.  I bought it from them for a whopping $1,000.  I was 19 years old with the coolest car of all of my friends.  24 years later it still is in my garage and my wife says it cannot be sold ever!  Actually, it still is a lot of fun to drive and show.

My first car was a 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396, 4 in the floor, bucket seats. I worked my tail off for two summers working construction just to save enough to buy it. It was 3 years old when I bought it and cost $2,200. Boy things sure have changed. I would give almost anything to have that car back today. After getting a speeding ticket I sold it and bought a 1971 VW bug. Wow, talk about going from one extreme to another. Several years after I sold it I heard through the grapevine that the new owner had wrapped it around a tree. It broke my heart. I made a lot of memories in that 'ole car. Nothing ever quite measures up to that first car.

4Campers

A 1960 Ford Falcon station wagon. It had a large hole in the floorboard in the back seat. I kept it covered with a heavy rubber mat, but had people get in that door to see their reaction when the floor fell out from below them.
