We are packing the last of the things in the car and getting the trailer hooked up. Hopefully we will be on the road by 4:00. We are also still waiting for Kendall to get home from band practice. I guess we need to be sure he is in the car before we go!

Dieter - Hoagie and Marcy are here!

OK, maybe we will be on the road by 4:30...just in time to sit there with everyone else who is getting away for the weekend. There are just so many last minute things to get done! See everyone soon!:-()

AWESOME!!!  What a great weekend with SCCampers!!  And only in CA can you sit on the Beach in OCTOBER and watch the kids play.  Great food, great Friends.  And isn't it funny that a little rally gets big with the potluck rolls around?  Glad to see everyone.  We'll be back in Dec.

What a great weekend.  It was rough sitting on the beach soaking up the sun but someone had to do it! The company was marvelous, and the food was divine.  Looking forward to seeing everyone again soon. Thanks again Lori for feeding the weary travelers.

What a great weekend. The drives down and back were fast and uneventful. It definitely makes a difference when you can leave before 1pm.
What a great potluck. There was (as usual) more than enough food. With the Oktoberfest theme I think we all got our fill of German food for at least a week or so. I know we did and judging from the quiet around the campfire after dinner I think most of us were in full "food coma" mode.

As for that "newest SCCamper" yep, we did get ourselves an 'Aussie' puppy. After leaving Smithwoods back in August we drove over to Mammoth Lakes for a few more nights camping with some friends. One day we found ourselves down in Bishop for lunch and went walking around the town. Somehow we picked up a little stowaway. Whitney is just over 5 months old now and is doing her best to convince us she is running the house. She had a great time and was very tired by the time we got home. Actually, she slept the whole way home and crashed again shortly after we got home. Thanks to all the boys for taking her for walks; she'll be joining us again on future rallies.

Thanks to all of you for a great weekend. We're looking forward to our next trip with you all.....Flying Flags for New Years.
