There are a number of places I would like to go with the trailer in the coming years, as my boys get older.  Olympia National park, Route 49, Yellowstone, Yosemite, to name a few.

Is there any place you really want to go, but haven't because of time, distance, other issues?

I'd say Grand Canyon and Yosemite are two places I'd love to camp.  For us its the whole package... time, money and distance.  I'm not a distance driver... its bad enough we're driving 14 hours to New Mexico over the Memorial week... I've never been in a car for a trip over 8 hours and the last time I did that I hated it :(  I'm really hoping this is better and I'll be more inclined to try and plan a trip to one of those places I listed above ;)

We may do our "Dream trip" this summer.

We want to drive up the West Coast (Ca/OR/WA/Canada) all the way to Alaska, camping along the way. Carolyn's brother lives in the Seattle area. We'd stay a few day there and on up to Alaska.

I've been to Alaska on a few trips but Carolyn has never been there.

I'm trying to arrange 6 weeks off because the guy that used to manage my building is willing to come stay in our apt and manage the place for us. :-()

When I was a gril, my parents and I took a 10,000 mile trip.  From Dallas, up the West Coast into Vancouver and across Canada thru Glacier NP and Lake Louise and down thru the midwest.  I still remember this trip and all the neat places we stopped.  I would like to do it again so my kids can experience it too.

Jacqui How old were you?

Wayne that would be cool, too bad you didn't plan the Smithwoods rally around this...

My dream camping trip would start by picking a direction and heading out for 6 months and going where the wind took me. No solid plans other than enjoying myself. I'm sure the trip would take me all over this country. If I got to a place and I didn't like it, I would move on, if I like a place I would stay a while.

I was 7 years old.

When we lived in Fountain Valley (back in 1999), my parents and I took my 2 oldest kids (7 and 3) on a cross county road trip to Michigan.  We went one way and came home another.  We were gone for 5 weeks.  What a fabulous trip.   We hit every tourist trap and every National Park along the way.  I was a stay at home mom so we took our time.  The kids had a BLAST!!  My son who was 3 still talks about the bats that were hanging upside down in Carlsbad Caverns.  The kids really got to bond with their grandparents.  Being couped up in the car for7 days going and 6 days home was an awesome experience.  When my dad passed away last year my son (now 13) said we will never get to go on a road trip with grandpa again.  It broke me heart when he said that because I know it meant the world to my dad too that he could share that time with his grandkids.

Already been there but want to return to Arches, Zion, Bryce and Canyonland parks.  Planned on it last year until gas got too expensive.

Other plan, but not camping, is a cruise to Alaska along with a train ride to Denali.  Thought our 35th anniversary next year would be a good time to do it.

My dream vacation would be to leave home about the 2nd week of June when my daughter gets out of school for the summer and "nomad" around the country until the 3rd week of August. Stay at all sorts of campgrounds, take notes and maybe write a book about the experience.

My camping dream at this point would be to leave and never come back.  I would like to fulltime some day.

On a smaller scale, we'll be spending 3 weeks this summer visiting Grand Teton, Yellowstone, Glacier, Devil's Tower and Mt. Rushmore.  This is a trip I've always wanted to do.

We'll probably schedule a southern run to Grand Canyon some time in the future. Also,  I've always wanted to see the Sequoias in California.  Had that desire since I was a kid and first learned of them.

I would love to take the entire summer go to AZ. to visit family then make my way to visit family in Texas then M-I-L & B-I-L in New Orleans. Then I'd like to go to Stone Mountain in Georgia and then to Florida for all the Disney attractions

I'm with you, Cajun!  Y'all cannot imagine how great retirement is even with all the aches and pains.  We pack up and go for a month or so at a time in whichever direction we feel like going only coming home for doctor's appointments and pay some bills before heading out again.  Putting some 39,000 miles on the camper in less than two years.  We have only four states remaining to visit - then we will pick a spot or two for extended stays.  Right now our favorites are Florida, Texas and Utah but we are going to the Pacific Northwest this year and may change our minds.

My dream trip is anywhere I take my family.  My boys love camping and the outdoors, even though I am more of a dork (dork=computer guy with personality - geek=computer guy with no personality), they love to go fishing and just generally hanging out at the campsite.

This year we are planning some trips around home, but 2010 will be a big year for camping.  Planning a road trip to Glacier/Yellow and badlands from Troutdale, OR.
