I am still waiting to hear from the Hardee's and Crowbar. Everyone else is paid up.
I'll catch them at the Halloween rally

Sue Hardee

Brad our check is in the mail.  Thanks.  I'm not sure about the Hively's

Jamesdad

Brad,
I think James is bringing a friend with us, I will pay whatever the difference is at the KOA when I arrive unless you want it earlier?

I would like to propose a progressive dinner in place of the traditional pot luck for Saturday night, here is how it would work.

Each family would sign up for one segment of the dinner and we would start at one trailer and work our way through dinner going from trailer to trailer....
Does anyone have a "theme" they would like to do? For example, a "Mexican" theme or the "Thanksgiving" theme...etc...any suggestions?

Appetizers:

Salad:

Soup:

We have 8 families...How about two families for Dessert, three for main course & side dishes and one each on Appetizers, salad and soup....any takers?

Lets hope who ever has the last dessert has a site that is down hill, you guys may not be able to walk too well after all that food.

If we did this on Halloween, we would eat all weekend!!;)

I vote for an octoberfest type meal, we could still do a progressive dinner.  I'll cook brats with beer and sourkrout...or maybe german hot potato salad.

cjpoppin

Brad I'll do a green salad sounds like fun......

Recumbentman

Okay, I like my husband's idea, but I am not a fan of Octoberfest type food.  But since we are starting this, I will jump in with a main dish...

To stay with the theme, we could bring sauerbraten (if I get my act together) with sp,,tzle and/or black forest cake.  Also, I could bring some german beer such as K"nig Ludwig Weiss (Royal Bavarian Hefe-Weizen).

Ummmm---I'm having a hard time thinking of some German food.  Any suggestions for a German appetizer or should I just bring German chocolate cake?   I can bring some Heifeweizen too.

how about some liverwurst pate?  My mom was half German, so liverwurst sandwiches were a weekly occurrence in our lunch bags.
