My DW and I heard about a CG just outside of Valley Center (No. San Diego Cnty) called Woods Valley Kampground and it piqued our interest.  We're thinking about trying it for a change of pace but would really appreciate any feedback from anybody who's been there recently.
Any feedback would be very welcome.  Thanks

They used to be one of my clients but came under new ownership and went a different direction.  That was a couple years ago.  It was a nice place but did have a LOT of full time residents.  There was a small pond and petting zoo type thing there so you may want to call and see if they kept it.  They have a pool but it is a long way from the camping area.  It always was clean and quiet and that was nice.  I never met the new owner but heard he was a nice guy and wanted to make improvements.  Nearby is the Bates nut farm which really is a nice place to visit and a couple of indian casinos, also lake Wholford is nearby if you like to fish. Hope this helps,
Bryan

Thanks for the feedback Bryan. We've just made reservations at Pinezanita for the weekend after Easter (first trip of the year) and figure we'll take a drive down there to check it out. Turns out DW was vistiting her sister in Vista a few weeks ago and they drove up there to check it out for a church girls camp location. She it looked really nice with lots of shade trees. They talked with the management and they seemed really cordial and helpful. Maybe we'll give the place a try for our vacation in August if it's not too hot there then. We usually camp at Pinezanita, but it can get pretty toasty (90+) there too.
