If noise was any indication our water pump should be working great!  but it isn't.  This weekend while boondocking we used it.  It start out strong and then the water would slow down to a trickle.  When I turn off the faucet the pump would run and run and run and run. .. finally shutting off.

Any suggestions?

My best guess would be a clogged filter at the pump. This would prevent water from being drawn from the tank. There is a screen that needs to be clean at the pump every so often.

We had the same problem last weekend and just finished cleaning today. Do you have a water heater? If so when was the last time you changed the anode rod in the water heater and cleaned out the tank? We changed our anode rod and cleaned out the calcium deposits in the tank. The deposits will clog your pump. There is also a prescreen at the beginning of the pump that also needs to be rinsed out. While you are at it check your aerator at the faucet and clean any debris out of the screen. After that make sure you have enough water in your holding tank and run the pump, prime it and it should work fine.

Hope this helps.
