My sister-in-law accidentally backed into the corner of my 2004 Coleman Utah while it was parked at her house.  It has a slight crack along the base of the box and up towards the lid, plus there is a hole punched out right in the corner.  The rep from the Coleman dealer here says you have to replace the whole box because it is all one piece.  I'm trying to make sure she isn't getting taken for a ride, but at the same time, want to make sure my camper is fixed adequately.  Any solutions??

Also, should I worry too much about fading if I have a brand new box put on?

I'd repair it myself, if it were mine. I don't know your skill level but you may want to take it to your local body shop for an estimate. It may not be a big deal.

I'm afraid my skill level isn't nearly that high.  It's in the fiberglass, so not sure if I could patch it or what.  A new box, again according to the local dealer, Is almost 2 grand!

I would think that a local B/S could bring it back to "Like new" condition for under $500 (unless it is really trashed). If it is indeed fiberglass, It's a fairly easy job for an experienced body man.

Can you post pics???
