Well we finally did it.  We got brave and dug out our DO and used it for the first time this last week while camping at Lopez Lake.  We have only had it for a couple of seasons now, so guess it was time.
Our first meal we cooked was a chicken thigh dinner with about 4 ingredients.  Came out great!
Next morning we made a Breakfast Pizza.  We did some of the prep ahead at home for this one and left it in the fridge here.  We had to come into town each day, about 30 min. away from camp so we picked up the prepped part on the day before we scheduled to use it.  That came out great also!  Now we want to try more things in the DO at home here before our next outing.  Could use it for those wonderful potlucks.

where you camping at Lake Lopez during memorial day weekend ? We love that place. Glad to hear your adventures with the DO went well. can't wait to try one of your creations at a camp out.

We camped at Lopez for Mon - Thurs and came home Friday morning.
We were camped in the area where we met the Sccampers last summer.
Could not get a spot for the weekend which ended up being a good thing after all.  Was getting kinda crazy starting Thurs night.
We are going to try to come up with a meal or dish to share at Pnt. Mugu in June.
