Not much chance of rain until Monday. I predict that LA will get very little to no rain out of this system, as usual. I think that north of Point Conception will get brutally punished. There is a storm just West of us and heading East with another (more powerful) storm right on it's tail. As always, we are at the very Southern edge of this storm and all indications are that it will continue to travel East, weaken and start to fall apart as it approaches land. That may eliminate the Southern portion of the storm as the low pressure system gets more centralized and drags it's lower component Northward, along the coast. That's the way it happens about 90% of the time. You won't hear that on the "Weather channel" because it doesn't make for very sensational news here in LA. .....It will be chilly and damp at night though......duhhhhh!! This is December........That's why we call it "Winter camping" :frosty:.

Bring plenty of firewood and plan on huddling by the fire....:D It could be worse.....we could be in Texas where they are going to get ice and snow........:frosty:.

If you look at this image, you can see the system in the Pacific. It's formed a circular motion (which is weakening), with a counterclockwise rotation. That makes it a "Low pressure" system. You can see the storm directly behind it. That storm may have more of an impact as an area of low pressure develops behind it. There is a lot of moisture in that second system. However, I doubt that we will see much of it either (unfortunately).
