Let's talk potluck!  Mexican theme sound good?  We will bring Tamales...yum yum...

Mary

JohnandLeann

Alright we think of something potluck for this.
Tamales sound good!

Hoagie

We're going to go with "Build-Your-Own-Quesadillas."
We'll bring the cheeses, tortillas, and assorted other ingredients, along with the griddle for our stove. If anyone has any requests for ingredients, let me know and we'll try to accomodate. Shredded chicken. Jalapenos. Onions. Bell Peppers. Etc.:sombraro:

Side note: Years ago Marcy played a summer concert series that featured a picnic before the music started. We had one friend that always brought foil-wrapped "greasadillas" to these picnics. We dubbed them greasadillas for two reasons: He put pepperoni in them. He reheated them by putting them on top of his car engine just before heading into the picnic area.

I might have a stick of greasy sausage to slice up and offer. But I'm not going to start up the truck for the other aspect of the "grease" in greasadilla.

griffsdad

Griffsclan will do Menudo and mexican sweet bread. Yum

We have two campers coming in on Thursday evening. So we will have the potluck dinner on Friday night (new years day) and have the potluck breakfast on Saturday morning. This way we can sleep in from the new years eve partying :sombraro:
On Thursday night (news years eve) we can have an impromptu bring your own meat Barbecue and share our side dishes
(also known as a potluck ;))

Saturday night Mary and I are going to go to AJ Spears for dinner. We would love to have any or all of you join us. remember that they give you a lot of food, so its easy to split a plate if you wish :p

JohnandLeann

I'm sorry to be a giant party pooper--but we're going to have to cancel out of this trip.  Camping is tons of fun, but it's still more work than I have the energy or ability to take on right now. Seriously, I'm shattered. For the past few months, I have basically been working 20-hour days every Monday through Thursday, driving home from work at 4:00 a.m., and getting 2 hours' sleep before the alarm goes off and I get up bleary-eyed to do it all over again. I'm never home; my mommy guilt is off the charts; I fear that my family is on the verge of referring to me as "The Ghost," and there are so many things around the house that have been neglected (in addition to Dave and Griffin) that I need to use this time off from work to just stay home, take care of my family, catch up on my sleep, and get all those things done around the house that have sadly been put off for months.

We will miss being there with you, but I know you will understand. Have a marvelous time, talk about us around the campfire, and raise a toast to the good times that are still ahead. :!

Maybe we can drunk dial each other on New Year's Eve. ;) :sombraro:

We are very sorry Griff's clan won't make the trip, we will miss you!  I know what you mean about fried...can't wait to be off work...and sleep in!  No crying, winning, or discipline....and that is not just Brad I am talking about!

Well, it may be a small rally, but we plan to have fun!
