I just had to replace practically new front tires on my TV (they were only a few months old) and had wore down to the steel belt because the car was out of alignment.  I don't know all the jargon means that the alignment guy and my DH were talking about.... but apparently "the tow" was way off.  Anyway this cost about $300 to get the 2 new tires and alignment.................. could that alignment issue have been caused from towing the PUT?

no!!!!

When the wheels "Toe-in" (pigeon-toed) or "Toe-out" (duck-walk) it's usually from hitting something like a curb or possibly a pot hole.

Bad wife......bad wife.  Never second-guess your man!

The good news is, you now have a nice 4 wheel alignment and if you start rotating the tires every oil change and keep them aired up, they'll last tens of thousands of miles.
