Quote from: Hoagie;216400Hi Lois,

That's great. Do you guys have a handheld GPS unit? Having one isn't required, just helpful. we'll have plenty in the group. Dave and Lori used the GPS application on their phones at Lake Casitas IIRC.

Also, in case you are not familiar with this activity, I suggest you visit www.geocaching.com for more info including an explanation of what it's all about.

See ya at Santee.

I will bring the one I have..hope you know how to work it cuz I don't..

If you  have the manual I'm sure someone can figure it out. Not necessarily me, but someone. That's assuming this 'someone' shows up at the rally. No guarantees on that.:D

See so there's "someone" that will show up and figure it out for you. Ha. Ha. Ha.

I might be able to help, as well. That is, as long as it's a Garmin or Trimble unit.  Never worked with any of the others, although they can't be that much different .... can they???

Quote from: waterdoctor;216337You can put us down for hash browns, as well, for the breakfast. I think I can throw in some bacon, too. I'll have to confer with DW on the dinner, but that'll have to wait until next week after she gets back from a road trip with her sisters to NM. I'm thinking some kinda meat from the BBQ, but I'll confirm that next week. However, if y'all offer some ideas, I might be able to make an executive decision before then. :sombraro: Cuz, afterall, I do believe I'm the one that wears the pants in this outfit :p.

:-() Okie Doke, DW has gotten home all safe and sound. Now we're gettin' geared up for Santee Lakes. We'll stick with Hash Browns and some bacon for the breakfast (as stated above), and we'll bring Carne Asada and flour tortillas for the dinner - Imperial Valley style. I'll try to bring some good salsa, as well. :yikes::yikes:
We'll be coming in on Fri. See y'all there :D

Naw, Wayne - I think what you're referring to is Glamis Stlye Carne. :eyecrazy:  Imperial Valley Style Carne Asada has a lot less 'crunchies', but a bit of char. :D  Oh .... and tender in the middle.

Dee, I've downloaded the manual and reviewed it. Your gps is pretty easy, so if you need any help getting it setup and using it, I'm sure I can help you out, but I'm sure Wayne has it under control, as well.  I'll be in site 116, give a shout if ya need me.

Anybody up for margaritas on this trip? We have a surplus of tequila that we can bring along (I know....what a problem to have) if someone wants to bring the margarita mix, ice, limes, etc. If you haven't tried it yet, get the Dr. Swami brand at Beverages and More. It costs more, but it is worth it.
