Killens Pond State Park, DE for Thanksgiving

We will be at Killens Pond for Thanksgiving.  If it is anything like last year, the weather will be beautiful and the food great.  I plan to smoke a turkey (no pipe jokes, please) and we'll have most of the rest of the trimmin's.

Come one, come all!  It's a great time to camp.  And eat.

Hey chip - we went to Virginia Beach KOA last Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time.  I was unsure about spending Thanksgiving in the camper but it was awesome!  We had both the tiny oven in the camper going, as well as my Coleman camp oven outside on the Coleman stove.  
 
Not sure what CG we'll be in for this years holiday, but we plan to repeat a camping Thanksgiving.

I would say, based on Margie's "Star-rating," that B1 (3 stars), B2 or B3 (2-stars) would be the best choices.  B8 is not rated, and B9 only got 1 star.

I'm impressed at how few sites are available, camp-wide.  Last year the campground was wide open.

We spent a week last last year just up the road (around the corner?) at the Travel Camp in VA Beach.  Neat place.

Will be camped out at the Dillard House Inn in Dillard GA the weekend before and visiting my aunt in nearby Franklin NC.  Then on Tues we will be heading to Louisville Ky and camping in my son's extra bedroom for Thanksgiving.

I had a very nice trip this long holiday weekend.  I want to thank Chip and Margie for feeding me, over the weekend.  I also had a pleasant surprise when John and Terry showed up and camped with us.  I did my part to stimulate the Delaware economy.  :eyecrazy:

Good Food, Good Friends.  It was a great weekend.

Tracy--You can come and break bread with us anytime.  Especially when you help to alleviate the budget deficit.  

John, et. al.--Whilst we didn't get a whole lot of time to get acquainted, we were glad you came.  We will have to do it again--would love to talk about hiking the AT sometime.
