QuoteWould it be better to go on down the road to the 33 instead?

You definitely want to take the 101 to the 33, when you get into the town of Oak View you want to turn left onto 150 (signal light) take that about 3 to 4 miles and make another left to Lake Casitas.

For those of you that have a GPS unit the address is

11311 Santa Ana Rd
Ventura, Ca 93001

this is to the snack bar, not the main entrance, but it will get you there !!

Hey Dieter..One of his teachers gave me points for creativity..

There's a chance we may be able to get out earlier, we'll see.  By the way, are you guys at an electric site? If so, can I borrow some "juice" so I can plug in my crockpot??

Quote from: griffsdad;214475I just checked my reservation and it says the latest time to check in on a weekday is 9 and on the weekend it's 10. You may want to call to confirm this if check in time is an issue.

Thanks for the info.  And yes, I will call to confirm...once I know when the heck we're actually leaving...I'm working on an earlier departure.  When did life get this complicated???:yikes:

Ok good that is what I thought.  Gogle maps has the drive time at 2hr 30min which is about what I had figured it would be.  See you all there.

Quote from: Dee4j;214473Kevin should be good to go with us at 2pm. I'm sure this will get him an excused absence

Dear..(his last 2 teachers)
Just a heads up that Kevin will be missing your class on Friday. He will be taking an educational journey for the 3 day weekend. Kevin will be traveling North to try to catch up with Lyndsey Wagner to see if she truly loves the sleep number bed. He will be taking measurments on how the recent rainfall has changed the water level in the local lake and study how the early settlers to this region use local resources for food & shelter. He will be observing how fire starting techniques have evolved from the once primitive way of rubbing 2 sticks together to the mini flame thrower constructed with a propane tank and asphalt burner. He also will be learning to ingnore the torture bestowed upon him by the lack of Wifi service.

Dee, I usually write a note that says he has an appointment with Dr. Trailer.  If the teacher asks him anything, he says it is for his mental health!  His principal also has a popup!

Malena......we've got to get you into DO cooking. Same as the crockpot, only better. No electric needed, just about 25-30 pieces of charcoal. It's the best.
