I have worked for dealers for over 20 years and can tell you some stories that will scare the h**l out of you.  Not all mechanics are crooked but many are.  The management has a lot to do with how crooked the dealership is.  That said, everyone have a great weekend and we will see you all soon.

We'll be rolling in sometime tomorrow a.m. with a jug of pre-made Blue Bombers, firewood and our poker buy-in.  We're looking forward to a fun weekend.  See you tomorrow.

JohnandLeann

Hope we get there before the gate closes!

Well we hope everyone has a good time!

We are not quite ready to camp yet - Riley is only a week and a half old.  Here is the scoop, Riley Eleanore Holcomb was born on 2/2/10 (yes ground hog day :) ).  She weighed 7 lbs and was 19 3/4 inches long.  She had a bit of jaundice, so we had her under the blue lights from Wednesday morning through Saturday afternoon when we finally took her home!  All is well, Ronin is adjusting and dealing with being a 2 year old.

I have attached a photo of Riley - I still have trouble adding photos to my posts - there seems to be  a size limit.

Have a great time - hope to see all of you soon!

We had a GREAT time!  Thanks to Brad an Mary for organizing this.  What a great location at the right time of year.  Weather was perfect.  A little cold at night (32 this morning) but we survived.  The boat ride was great, THANKS Wavery clan!

Sorry we didn't get to say good by to most you, Cameron got an ear infection last night, so we packed up and headed out asap.  Laura STILL beat us out!

See you all soon!!

Wow, what a wonderful campground!  Who knew -- obviously not me!  It sure was good to see everyone and be with you all under better circumstances.  Brad & Mary, it was wonderful to be welcomed by you with my sign and cookie -- it was delicious!  Sorry, but I wimped out at night with the cold.  Somehow the lure of the Olympics and heat proved too much for this softy.  But the pot-lucks and boat ride were great.  Wayne, thanks so much for organizing that excursion.  I can't tell you how much I enjoyed being with you all and allowing Jed to join us.  He slept the rest of the day -- guess all that fresh air tuckered him out.

Yes, I was out early.  Packing & hitching up is pretty easy with this trailer.  Plus, I wanted to beat the Valley traffic.  Made it home in just under 2 hours -- not bad!

I'll see a bunch of you all in April at Santee Lakes.  Thanks for a wonderful weekend!

Rich......I've got news for you....Management has EVERYTHING to do with how honest the techs are. Any Service Manager knows the good ones from the bad ones. They are responsible for hiring and firing......the buck stops right there.

Unfortunately the dishonest techs are sometimes the highest producers (due to their dishonesty). Some Service Managers don't want to sacrifice the numbers so they keep them on and that usually acts like a disease that quickly infects the entire shop.

When I was Service Manager I would discipline an employee for taking a shop rag home. If I caught a tech cheating a customer, he was gone immediately. If the offense was bad enough, I would call the police and have the guy arrested in front of the entire shop. That only happened once in the 15 years that I was Service Manager. Good techs begged to work for my shop because they knew that they would not be pressured to compete against thieves.
