When I decided that I could do this rally I called in early Dec. to hear that they had no more sites.  I tried a couple of weeks ago and there were 2 openings.  You can keep trying -- when you think about it.  I'd love to see you two again!

Are we there yet??

Is it too soon to start talking about potluck??

Looks to be about 30 adults going  should be fun.  Whats to do while there?  never been...

Pete_N_Linda

Pete-N-Linda will be there the 12th, 13th and 14th. We were not able to get a site in "Bass" so we will be in Egret-20. If anyone wants to cancel I would be happy to take their space. Anyone interested in fishing? They have boats for rent 1/2day, full day. Let me know.

Thought we were doing potluck on Saturday and breakfast on Monday (day of departure). I don't think I can fit all that food into one day and still be able to fit in my trailer:eek:

Traditionally we have always had the potlucks on Saturday morning and evening. There is plus and minus in doing it this way or having the potlucks on two different days. Plus I realize that you can never make everyone happy.

One plus for having them on one day is that it gives you the rest of the weekend to do what you want without having to return early to prepare your dish.

Then again if its on two days, you have more time in that day to do the things you would like to do in that day.

So lets start posting your potluck meals here (breakfast and dinner) Post #2 will be updated with potluck menu as they come in

and also state if you want the potluck on one or two days. I will let the group decide :yikes:[/COLOR]

We normally don't like cooking breakfast on the day we leave,we do something easy, like doughnuts.
But since we are there till monday, we could do sunday breakfast.  Or we could make it sunday brunch and have it a little later...

cjpoppin

I will be making Chicken Enchiladas for dinner and a Carrot Cake
Breakfast will be Some kind of Egg Dish....
As far as day's because we'll be staying extra day it doesn't matter to me so pick .....But for the record I wouldn't like to make a breakfast on the day we pack up to leave.....

I vote for Sat. night dinner and Sunday Brunch...Brad, Sean & I are not available for Sunday night dinner!

This once a month camping schedule is a drag:morning:. We are so used to camping twice a month......

When we were at San Clemente last weekend, the CG was practically empty. This government better wake-up. They've cut the revenue so badly that they may have to end up closing parks due to their own stupidity.

Regarding potlucks  - here's my two cents - Saturday night dinner potluck would be fine with us. As for breakfast potluck, I don't want to do it on a day that I'm leaving - why add another 2-3 hours to my 3 hours pack up time? I won't be leaving the CG till 2!!!!
