Thanks everone for a great weekend! They just go so fast. We made it home in time to buy the frigerator/freezer and it's going to be delivered on Tuesday - can't wait. Lori pick it out and it looks like one that will last a long time. The model is so new that it's not on the manufactorer's web site.

Carl we hope you get better soon!!! Brad and Mary, as always it was great to see you both and look forward to watching the video of Sean's play. John and Leann you have a beautiful camper!!! Jim and Betty, hope to you you on future campouts. Wayne and Carolyn, thanks again for hosting the Pt Mugu rally!!!

PS it was great watching all the boys playing together in their fort and playing baseball with them. Until next time --------- at Doheny.

Carol & Jim,

We all appreciate you more than we can tell you. That doesn't mean that we shouldn't tell you though....:o

No camp-out would be complete without your positive spirit (your firewood:p), your eagerness to help out.....and Miss Pickles' grumpiness with other dogs. Then again.....she is just trying to protect you.

We had a wonderful time out on our maiden voyage with our new camper.  As always, when we leave home something exciting happens, usually in a mother nature fashion.  We were not disapointed this time either.  That 3.8 eartquake that we were sitting on top of was rather exciting.
Thank you Wayne and Jim for all of your help with getting us settled in our new rig.  Missed the Hoagies, Dee and others that we usually see.  Good to see the Lopez's rumble up.
Take care Carl and family.  Keep us posted.  Wish you a speedy recovery.
Nice to meet Jim and Betty and family too.
Three nights are never enough are they?  TJ is wiped out again as he usually is after a weekend of being on duty and not getting his naps.

It will be too long until we see you all again.

ps anyone want to trade a bigger site at Doheny for #71.  We won't fit now with our new camper.

joy_and_david

Hey there everyone,

David and I just wanted to say thank you all for letting us be part of your weekend.  We had a fantastic time meeting you all.  With all the excitement, we slept very well by Sunday evening.

Glad you made it home Carl, and hope the breaks weren't too serious.

Since we don't have a camper, we probably won't be too active on the forums, but we did want to say thank you for sharing your warmth, food, hospitality, and good spirits with us!

I think I uploaded these pictures right.  First time posting and figuring out the forums...

Hope we cross paths again soon,
Joy and David

Gimpy here,
Well the pictures Joy and David posted- captioned 1, 2, 3 says it all.
I just got back from the orthopedist, who didn't see any of the grand drama the ER had me worried about.  3 weeks in a splint and crutches and I should be OK.
The dialog with the doctor was pretty amusing- "skimboard... Oh in Hawaii I think we called them sand surfers. Yah, I kept landing on my butt so I quit."  "Well, here's what happens when you don't"

Thanks for all the concern.  The heckling has already started with Robert at the office.
Might as well commence here.

Why Carl...........I'm shocked..........what-ever made you think that we would stoop to such depths????? :sombraro:

and I went to all that trouble to make it look like a heroic motorcycle accident.........:p

Glad to hear that all is well.......

JohnandLeann

I thought we agreed to hold the heckling till the next camp out.
Thought it was enough to get hurt when you were trying to have fun.

cjpoppin

Carl I'm shocked you think we would heckle you :D

My pictures are posted click link in Sig......

Nice pics Carol.....thanks for shaing.............:D

For those of you that were that were at this camp-out, I thought you might like to see where the epicenter of that earthquake was.......
http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recenteqsus/Quakes/ci10666645.html

Copy and paste this into GoogleEarth. I think that you may be surprised....
34.084øN, 119.040øW

The lower right of this pic is the sand dune across the road from the campground. Where it is printed in white, "34.084øN, 119.040øW" was the very epicenter of the quake. About 1/4 mile from the campground entrance.

griffsdad

What earthquake??????????????????
